Q. How did you become a painter? 


Todd: I was a cartoonist first and I started painting in school. 


Q.Have you reached all your artistic goals? 


Todd: No there's alot more!

Q. Do you think you've reached your optimum ability level or is there more to go? 


Todd: You never stop learning new techniques and styles

Q. A lot of people think artists just stay home and paint all day and live on bowls of soup and smoke! But do you have a regular job and do you dream of the day when you can be totally sustainable from your art?


I have a day job to pay the bills and eat. Would love to live off of my art!


Q. Who are your influences? 


Todd: Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec, Picasso, Hershfeld. 

Q. I noticed a lot of musical figures feature in your works. Do you make music yourself?


Todd: Yes, I'm a bassist/singer.

Q. What do you think makes the caricature so popular? 


Todd: People love to see themselves distorted and exagerated I think!


Q. If you painted a caricature of the current president or somebody else super famous what do you think they'd make of it?


Todd: I think that the caricature would be a big hit with the President or any famous person. Because I do think people love to see themselves!
